I like the location of the hotel. It is located very near to Warorot Market (within 5 mins walk). It is also very near to Changklan Road (within 10 mins walk) where the night bazaars are. We also walked all the way to Thapae Gate where the Sunday market starts (around 15 mins walk). So, if you like shopping, this hotel is just perfect. Car or motocycle rental is also available. Towels are changed and the rooms are cleaned every day.
Cheap price. Near china town - could go try different foods at night.10-15 minutes walk to city center.
Staff hardly spoke English. Very basic hotel. For budget travelers.
Best price with good services in good location.
Last day of our visit, my wife and me also had some skin allergy which I don't sure where we get it allergy. Its may come by bed cover or blanket cover cloth. I guess.
Comfy beds and pillows
The hotel had ongoing problems with access to the Internet. I was assured on several occasions that this would be resolved, however it wasn't and I was forced to find alternative accomodation elsewhere
It's good value for money, the staff are always friendly and it's got free wifi that gives a good signal and isn't too bad speed wise, better than a lot I've been to. A/C could go much colder than we ever wanted in, even when it was very hot outside. Intially booked for 3 days then extended it to cover our time in Chiang Mai. Has tv and a fridge so you don't feel you have to get up and straight out if you don't want to. Shower was also good and hot. You get cleaned and new towels and 2 bottles of water everyday. Beds were quite confortable too and they changed my duvet when I put my dirty bag on it.
Things probably are in need of a makeover, not that this bothered us, but you couldn't call it luxurious.
It is close to the Wororot market and Chinatown, where the Thai people shop and eat and there is a great food market in the evenings; also it is close to the main city and the river and it is very good value for money.
The breakfast is do-it-yourself white bread toast with butter, and this year no jam (although that was pretty dreadful anyway) and the coffee is instant - in other words not worth having unless you are desperate!
The facility was really old. It bring me back to 1970's. The staff were unhelpful. They charge extra money to help us to call the taxi. It normally 100B from the hotel to airport. However, they charged us 150B.
The value for money was very good. The room was clean upon arrival and was cleaned everyday during stay with clean towels being left each time.
The shower did have hot water, but not a very strong stream.
very good price. room is clean. but the bath room is too simple.
bath room too simple
convinient location near center of the city, near night market. the price is super
Erm, the cable TV featured 3 english language movie channels...
Ants (lots). A sagging bed. Cold shower. Did I mention the ants?
The only negative aspect was the strong moldy smell of the room. Staff was excellent. Ridiculously cheap.
Strong moldy smell, cockroach traces (giant wing found in bathroom)
cleanliness of the room but there has bad smell at first because of the mail sprayed air-refreshner to the air-conditioner outflow window directly that disturbed me,
bad service mind of reception- they don't pay attention to client, the hotel has only 1 point of hot drinking water for client at ground floor that is not comfortable for client.
New Mitrapap was a bargain.. only room we saw in CM with air con, tv and fridge for under 400B, also in a nice quiet location. would recommend to anyone looking for a cheap but comfy room.
The hotel is nearby Warorot Market, with a bit of walking (about 20 minutes), can reach Night Bazaar nearby. They have 72 tv channel, about 4 entertainment, few sports and news channel in English. The shower is simple, the wifi is very good. It is definitely value for money.
The air conditioner in the room somewhat start off slowly. And the corridor of the hotel is hot, not air conditioned. Deposit for the room is thb500! That is 1.5 times more than what I pay for the room.
